More Driveline, More to Check
A 4WD has components a regular car doesn't: a transfer case, front and rear differentials, often free-wheeling hubs, and suspension designed to carry serious weight.
Each of those has its own oil and its own wear points. Tow a caravan through summer heat, cross a creek or spend a weekend in soft sand, and the service interval for some of them shortens.
We see a lot of utes and 4WDs at Beringarra Ave, from LandCruiser 70 tray-backs to late-model Amaroks. Our 4WD service covers the standard engine items plus the driveline and chassis checks that matter for working and touring vehicles.

Utes and 4WDs on Our Hoists

Pre-Trip Prep for WA Adventures
Before a big trip up the coast or out to the Goldfields, book a pre-trip check a couple of weeks ahead. That leaves time to order parts if we find anything.
- Brakes and suspension inspected with the extra load in mind
- Tyres, including the spare, checked for age, damage and tread
- Cooling system and belts looked over for long, hot climbs
- Battery and dual-battery wiring tested
- Fluids topped up and leaks noted
Need rubber for the trip? See tyre types and brands for all-terrain and highway options.
Fleet and Tradie Vehicles
If your ute is your income, downtime hurts. Early drop-offs, clear communication about timing, and grouping jobs into one visit all help keep it on the job. Tell us how the vehicle is used and loaded, and we'll pay extra attention to the parts that work hardest for your trade.

4WD Servicing FAQ
How often should diff and transfer case oil be changed?
Check your handbook, which often lists a shorter interval for severe use like towing, water crossings or sand driving. After a deep crossing it's worth checking for water contamination.
Can you service my 4WD and keep the new-vehicle warranty?
Yes. Just like any car, a 4WD under warranty can be logbook serviced by a qualified independent mechanic using the schedule and suitable parts. See logbook servicing.
My ute has a DPF and only does short trips. Is that a problem?
It can be. Diesel particulate filters need hot running to clean themselves. We can check its data and suggest driving habits that help.
Do you work on modified 4WDs?
Yes. Lift kits, larger tyres, bull bars and dual batteries are all common. Let us know what's fitted when you book.
