Two Very Different Nissan Families
On one side there are the workhorses: Navara utes and Patrol wagons with serious off-road ability. On the other, the X-Trail, Qashqai and Pathfinder, family SUVs where comfort and economy matter most.
The 4WDs need driveline and suspension attention that suits towing and corrugations. Many of the SUVs use a CVT automatic, which has its own fluid and servicing requirements. We know the difference and service accordingly.

Nissan Servicing
Logbook servicing
Nissan's schedule followed with suitable parts and fluids, recorded in the book. Your warranty rights stay intact under Australian Consumer Law. More on logbook servicing.
4WD extras
Diff, transfer case and hub checks for Navaras and Patrols, especially after sand, mud or water crossings.
Nissan Checks & Inspections
Used Patrols are prized and rarely cheap, so it pays to know their history. Our pre-purchase inspection looks for overheating signs, driveline noises, chassis damage and evidence of hard off-road use.

Getting Years Out of a Nissan 4WD
Nissan's 4WDs are bought to be used, and the ones that last longest share some simple habits. Their owners change diesel fuel filters on time, because injectors on common-rail engines don't tolerate dirty fuel. They check diff breathers after deep water so water isn't sucked into the axle as it cools.
They also respect payload. A dual-cab Navara carrying a canopy, drawers, a fridge and a full tray can be closer to its limit than people think, and that weight shows up as sagging springs and faster brake wear.
Finally, they don't ignore small noises. A whine from the rear diff or a clunk taking up drive is far cheaper to investigate early than after it fails on the Great Northern Highway.

Nissan FAQ
Does my X-Trail's CVT need servicing?
Check your service book. CVTs rely heavily on the condition of their fluid, and some schedules list an inspection or change. We'll confirm what applies to yours.
Can you service a Patrol set up for touring?
Yes. Long-range tanks, lift kits, dual batteries and towing gear are all familiar. Mention the accessories when you make the booking.
Will servicing my new Navara here affect the warranty?
No. We follow Nissan's schedule and use appropriate parts, which keeps your warranty rights protected.
My Navara is blowing black smoke. What could it be?
Black smoke usually means too much fuel or too little air. Causes range from a clogged air filter to injector or turbo issues. Diagnosis will narrow it down.
Do you work on older GU Patrols?
Yes. Plenty of GU Patrols are still touring around WA. Age brings worn bushes, tired cooling systems and leaking seals, so we look for those first and give you a prioritised list.
