Audi Care Without the Dealership Feel
An Audi blends performance, technology and luxury, and each of those adds to the servicing brief. Turbocharged TFSI and TDI engines, all-wheel drive, adaptive suspension and a lot of electronics all need the right approach.
You'll find the right oils, diagnostic software and a proper inspection here, without the showroom overheads. And you'll speak directly to the person who worked on your car.
Audis on Our Floor

Audi Servicing
Under Australian Consumer Law, a new Audi can be serviced by a qualified independent mechanic, provided the manufacturer's schedule is followed with appropriate parts and fluids. Audi-specific items we pay attention to include:
Approved oils
Oil meeting the VW Group approval your engine specifies, matched to petrol or diesel.
S tronic & tiptronic
Transmission servicing where the schedule lists it.
Service reset
Service interval display reset with diagnostic equipment.
Electronic park brake
Retracted through the software for rear brake work.
Air suspension
Checked on Q7 and other models fitted with it.
Battery registration
New batteries coded to the car where required.
Popular Audi Models
Q7 & SQ7
Heavy and powerful. Big brakes, tyres and air suspension are the main wear items.
Q5 & SQ5
Popular family choice. On-time oil changes and cooling system checks pay off.
A3, S3 & Q3
Smaller turbo engines that appreciate correct oil and DSG care.
A4 & A5
Some earlier 2.0 TFSI engines were known for using oil, so check levels between services.
RS models
High-output engines, large brakes and performance tyres all need specialist attention.
A6, A7 & A8
Complex electronics and comfort systems, diagnosed with the right software.
Audi Repairs
| Issue | Our approach |
|---|---|
| Warning lights and messages | All modules scanned, then targeted testing. See engine diagnostics |
| Coolant loss | Pressure tests to find leaking pumps, hoses or housings |
| Oil leaks | Gaskets and seals traced before oil damages other parts |
| Brake wear or warnings | Pads, rotors and wear sensors on big Audi brakes |
| Sagging corner on a Q7 | Air suspension diagnosis, from struts to compressor |
Audi Checks & Inspections
Used Audis can be great value, but repair costs make an inspection essential. Our pre-purchase inspection checks oil consumption signs, leaks, transmission behaviour and stored faults.
Looking After an All-Wheel-Drive Audi
Most Audis with quattro drive all four wheels through some form of centre differential or coupling. Keeping tyres evenly worn and correctly sized matters, because big differences in rolling diameter make that system work harder than it should. Replace tyres in sets where possible, rotate them as the setup allows, and let us know if you ever feel binding or shuddering on tight, slow turns.

Audi FAQ
Can an independent mechanic service my Audi under warranty?
Yes. The legal test is about the work, not who does it: Audi's intervals kept, with parts and fluids up to Audi's standard. That's how we operate.
My Audi is using oil. Is that normal?
Some consumption can be normal, but some earlier 2.0 TFSI engines were known for higher use. If you're topping up often, have it checked.
Can you replace rear brake pads on an Audi with an electric park brake?
Yes. We retract the park brake through diagnostic software before the job and recalibrate it afterwards.
Do you service the SQ7 and RS models?
Yes. You can see an SQ7 in our workshop photos.
How do I know which oil my Audi needs?
The handbook lists a VW Group approval number, such as one for long-life service intervals or for diesel engines with particulate filters. The number matters more than the brand of oil. We check it against your engine code before every oil change, so the right product goes in.
