Plenty of MGs, Not Many Dealers
MG sales have grown quickly across Perth, and dealer workshops haven't always kept pace. That can mean waiting weeks for a service booking.
We're an independent alternative in Malaga. Your MG gets its scheduled service done to the manufacturer's book, with the right oil and parts, and you get to speak with the person doing the work. Many MGs are still well within their factory warranty, and keeping that warranty safe is a big part of how we service them.
MG Servicing
You don't need to use an MG dealer to keep the warranty valid. Under Australian Consumer Law, an independent workshop can carry out scheduled maintenance as long as it follows MG's intervals and uses parts and fluids to the right standard.
- MG's schedule for your model and kilometres
- Correct oil grade for small turbo petrol engines
- Transmission fluid checked when the schedule calls for it
- Cabin and engine air filters replaced on time
- Brake pads and rotors measured
- Logbook stamped with an itemised invoice
Popular MGs and What They Need
MG3
Simple and affordable. On-time oil changes, tyres and brakes keep it going.
ZS
A huge seller. Brakes, tyres and regular fluid changes are the key items.
HS
Turbo petrol and plug-in hybrid versions, many with a dual-clutch gearbox.
MG5
Budget sedan that rewards basic maintenance done properly.
MG4
No oil changes, but tyres, brakes, suspension and cabin filters still need care.
ZS EV
Heavier than the petrol ZS, which shows up in tyre and brake wear.
What About EVs and Plug-In Hybrids?
An electric MG skips the oil change, but it's still a car with tyres, brakes, wheel alignment, suspension, wipers, a 12-volt battery and a cabin filter. Those are all jobs we handle. EVs are heavy and deliver strong torque, so tyres often wear faster than owners expect.
For the high-voltage battery and charging system, MG's own schedule sets out what's needed. Tell us the model when you book and we'll be upfront about exactly what we can look after for you.

Clear Communication, Every Time
“They got me in on short notice, thoroughly checked everything over, and provided clear communication and transparency throughout the whole process. No pushiness, just honesty and great service.”
“Great service from Stephen. Great workmanship from the team. Fair pricing and and a job well done.”
“finding a workshop that's genuinely honest is refreshing. They were easy to deal with, straight to the point, communicated everything clearly, and charged a fair, honest price with no hidden surprises.”
MG FAQ
Can I service my MG somewhere other than the dealer?
Yes. Your warranty stays valid with an independent workshop as long as servicing follows MG's schedule with suitable parts and fluids. We fill in your logbook every time.
How often does an MG need a service?
MG lists intervals in months and kilometres for each model. Let us know your model and year and we'll confirm when the next one is due.
Do you work on electric MGs?
We look after the parts an EV shares with every other car, such as tyres, brakes, suspension, cabin filters and the 12-volt battery. Ask us when booking and we'll explain what's covered.
My HS feels jerky at low speed. Is that normal?
Some low-speed feel is typical of a dual-clutch gearbox, but a pronounced judder isn't. Book it in and we'll check it properly.
