A Workshop That Suits Kia Owners
A Carnival full of kids, a Sportage that commutes down Tonkin Highway, a Cerato that's somebody's first car. Kias tend to be busy, and owners want servicing that's simple to book and easy to understand.
Kia shares many engines and systems with Hyundai, so the technical side is familiar territory. What we add is the personal side: talk to the person servicing your car, get a quote before work starts, and hear what's coming up so it never catches you off guard.
Kia Servicing
You don't have to return to a Kia dealer to keep your new-car warranty. Australian Consumer Law allows independent servicing, provided the logbook schedule is followed with appropriate parts. That's how every Kia service here is done.
- Kia's schedule for your model and kilometres
- Correct oil for GDi, turbo and diesel engines
- Air and cabin filters replaced when listed
- Brakes measured, not just glanced at
- Battery tested, including on stop-start models
- Logbook stamped and itemised invoice supplied
Popular Kias and What They Need
Sportage
Petrol and diesel versions. Diesels with a particulate filter need regular highway driving.
Cerato
Hatch and sedan. Routine servicing, tyres and brakes keep running costs down.
Sorento
Heavier and often towing. Brakes, tyres and suspension see more wear.
Carnival
Big family hauler. Sliding door mechanisms, brakes and tyres get worked hard.
Seltos & Stonic
Popular compact SUVs where on-time oil changes matter.
Rio & Picanto
Simple, economical, and cheap to keep in good shape.

Kia Checks & Inspections
Buying a second-hand Carnival or Sportage? Ask for the service records, then book a pre-purchase inspection so you know what's due and whether anything's hiding.
For Kias already in the family, regular servicing keeps brakes, tyres, fluids and battery in good shape.
Kia Care Between Services
Most Kias we see are worked hard by busy households, so a few simple checks between visits go a long way. Glance at tyre pressures every month or so, especially on a loaded Carnival or Sorento heading off on holidays. Keep an ear out for squeaks from the brakes, which are often the first hint that pads are wearing down.
If a warning light appears, take a photo of the dash before you turn the car off. It helps us understand what the car reported and when. And if the car is going to sit for a few weeks while you're away, a battery check before you leave can save a frustrating no-start when you get back.
Easy to Deal With
“They got me in on short notice, thoroughly checked everything over, and provided clear communication and transparency throughout the whole process. No pushiness, just honesty and great service.”
“finding a workshop that's genuinely honest is refreshing. They were easy to deal with, straight to the point, communicated everything clearly, and charged a fair, honest price with no hidden surprises.”
“Great service from Stephen. Great workmanship from the team. Fair pricing and and a job well done.”
Kia FAQ
Does a Kia need dealer servicing to keep its warranty?
No. Independent servicing is protected by law in Australia. Kia's intervals need to be met with parts of the right standard, and that's exactly what you get here.
How often should my Kia be serviced?
Most models list an interval by months and kilometres in the service book. Bring it along or tell us the model and we'll confirm.
My Carnival's sliding door is playing up. Can you help?
We can diagnose door mechanism and electrical faults. Let us know what it's doing when you book.
Do you service Kia diesels?
Yes, including Sorento, Sportage and Carnival diesels.
Can you look at a Kia that's been in storage?
Yes. Cars that have sat for months often need a battery charge or replacement, a tyre check for flat spots, and fresh fluids if they've aged. We'll go over it before it heads back onto the road.
